I used an "oil lamp" for lighting and the fireplace is lit as well.   I made a gun case from a kitchen cupboard from Michael's and the rug is one single crochet chain glued together. The picture on the fireplace is of me and the larger picture above the fireplace is of my family when we went for old fashioned photos.  My dad is on the far right and passed away November 4th, 2011.  This was one of his favorite things....seeing what I do with the dollhouses : )
